REMARKABLE FLOWERS OF THE SIERRA

I'm going to share information about some of the interesting and beautiful Sierra wildflowers from the line of High Sierra Stock Essences that I am developing.

The first flower is Star Lavender, also known as Woolen Breeches, Cat's Breeches, and Dwarf Waterleaf. You'll find this lavender prize in the early season in semi-moist forests. The small flowers are bell-shaped, close to the ground in dense clusters, and hidden beneath large, deeply lobed leaves. Star Lavender as an essence is in service to the heart. Its primary reason for being on the planet is to remind people why they incarnated in the first place. Its greatest point is to say "you were once a star, why did you come here?" In that reminder it unfolds a vast panoply of questions that all human beings must then, entertain.

The next plant is Ranger Buttons which is part of the abundant carrot family which includes Cow Parsnip, Brewer's Angelica, and Gray's Lovage. This mid-season flower has the characteristic large umbel arrangement but is quite distinct in that the white flower clusters form in several perfectly round, compact spheres, reminding one of something from outer space. This plant is toxic if ingested. Energetically, Ranger Buttons deal with a sense of personal direction from within a context of forgiveness. They are, by nature, an assertive but very gentle flower that holds an energy of not compromising. They are in service to the higher levels of old soul consciousness in which you honor your direction with self-forgiveness and allow the God/Goddess force to come in and find you in such a way as to be uncompromisingly in your truth while recognizing old mistakes and imbalances.

The final flower of this discussion is Rock Fringe. This mid to late season alpine bloomer is found on moist, rocky slopes or dry stream beds. The one-inch, rose-violet flowers have four double petals and grow out of a woody-stemmed ground-cover with opposite leaves. Vibrationally, Rock Fringe is a very gentle, nurturing flower and a gentle heart stimulant. Its best use is for bringing the heart back from disappointment, hurt, loss, and rejection. It assists the heart in touching deeply into the soul with more trust and confidence that the nature of reality here on the planet is truly benignthat the lessons we must learn are often generated by where we don't love ourselves.

These and some of the other flowers I've developed into essences are not typically in most flower essence practitioners medicine bags, mainly because they just haven't been available and their healing energies perhaps have been overlooked or misunderstood. I have over eighty stock essences available on my website and will add more each year as my time allows me to get out and find the magical places where the flowers thrive.
